Season Outlook
This year, I would like to get more opinions from our followers on the team as the season progresses. Let's start with the season outlook. How will the team do this season? Do they have a chance to win the CCHA or make the NCAA tournament? What freshman will step up and make a difference this year? What will the line combinations look like? Who will the MVP be?

The Summer in Spartan Hockey
Corey Tropp, Andrew Rowe, and Jeff Petry all decided to forgo their senior seasons for the NHL. We wish them the best of luck and we will miss their presence in the lineup this year.
Former Spartan Ryan Miller was awarded the Vezina trophy as the top goaltender and another former Spartan Duncan Keith was the Norris trophy recipient for being the top defenseman. He helped lead the Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup Championship.
Former Spartan icer Adam Nightingale took over for Damon Whitten as the Director of Operations. Nightingale played two seasons for Michigan State from ('03-'05).
Brett Perlini was taken in the seventh round of the NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks.
Skate with the Pros was a success for the second year as current professional hockey players took part in a skate and autograph session to raise money to fight children's cancer.
